With a solid place in advertising campaigns, influencer marketing has overtaken many traditional media outlets and is part of a rapidly growing landscape in Brazil. Research indicates a 17% increase in the segment in 2023.
The affection is not just from the public, but also from brands. According to Nielsen’s Trust in Advertising study, 71% of consumers trust advertisements and opinions from influencers. However, an observation emerges in this context: the category of individuals who influence consumers still lacks professionalization. The phenomenon is relatively new and still lacks specific regulations, relying on the application of existing principles and laws.
A survey conducted by Mundo Mapping, a platform that connects influencers to brands and companies, shows that of the 8,000 influencers registered on the platform, 82% do not have a CNPJ (Brazilian business registration number). The lack of this business registration can cause influencers to miss out on some work, especially for large brands and organizations. “Many companies require invoices. Therefore, obtaining a CNPJ is essential for expanding partnerships and issuing documents properly. The influencer career has potential, but professionalization is essential,” says Mapping’s CEO, Maria Priscila Nabozni.
Seeking to help those starting out, the startup Mundo Mapping has just launched an ebook titled “What Brands Want.” The material is a guide for influencers to understand and meet the expectations of brands and companies with professional backing.
Among the chapters, the ebook covers information on how influencers should adapt to platforms, how to professionalize within their categories, the importance of regulation and obtaining a CNPJ, what companies want in terms of content, and many other tips.
With 22 years of career in the corporate communication market, the creation of the ebook is by the entrepreneur and founder of Mundo Mapping, Maria Priscila Nabozni, considered one of the pioneers of influencer marketing and one of the greatest references on the subject in Brazil. For the specialist, the material is an essential guide for digital influencers, both for those established to improve and for those interested in entering this category.
“The influencer marketing market is behaving like a huge tsunami in the Brazilian scenario, and it is no longer news that it holds a significant share in digital marketing. The ebook is a unique guide that covers everything from basic concepts to advanced strategies, with valuable insights and effective practices,” she says.
